Ironically, sex addicts generally receive little or no satisfaction from their sexual activity and form no emotional bond with their sex partners. Sexual addition is often accompanied by feelings of anxiety, depression, broken marriages and problems at work. Sex addicts tend to engage in distorted thinking, often rationalizing and justifying their behavior and blaming others for their problems. Most sex addicts live in denial of their addiction, and recovery is dependent on accepting and admitting that they have a problem.
